SAFETY

special safety harness design - does not depend on plastic or metal tongue buckles for load bearing in an accident! This makes the harness incredibly strong and reliable, and will protect your dog even if the buckles are broken or improperly fastened. Plastic buckles or metal tongue buckles can weaken with wear and abuse and become brittle in cold temperatures. In our opinion they also do not provide adequate protection for larger dogs.

cushioned, floating chest strap - allows the top of the harness to slide a little to each side, helping to prevent shoulder injuries during a crash or quick stop, and allowing the comfortable use of a shorter (and safer) restraint strap. The V-shaped top of the harness is designed to help stabilize the dog and prevent violent spinning around in an accident.

extra wide 2",  2- ply side straps - help distribute pressure across your dog's body reducing the chance of injury.

heavy duty, rounded profile hardware - The swivel snap is an iron "bull snap" also used to restrain heavy livestock animals, and much stronger then the die-cast zinc leash swivel snaps commonly used on dog seat belts. The round and D rings we use are some of the strongest welded rings available. All hardware features a smooth profile with no sharp edges to injure your dog.

If you want to measure your dog, loop a tape around the chest just behind the front legs as shown in the illustration. Pull the tape snug but not tight. If you do not have a soft measuring tape - no problem, just use a piece of string and then hold it up to a yardstick or metal measuring tape.
